Biogas Plant in Velké Meziříčí: currently producing electricity (999kW), with plans for transitioning to biogas purification and injecting biomethane into the grid, processing mostly organic waste including a machine for unwrapping expired packaged food, and potentially offering use for stabilizing the electricity grid… this is the program for the next Den D, already the 64th in the series. Energy is moving the world, and there is a good opportunity to participate in an existing project where Petr Marek, a founding member of the club, is a partner. (The current company, in which we can buy a stake, took over the project from the original problematic owner, made necessary repairs and adjustments, and restarted the biogas plant). The project may not be long-term… after two or three years, we plan to sell the established and improved biomethane plant to someone looking for a “green” investment to operate with stable returns in the long run.
