Beaujolais nouveau

This year we are organizing the tenth edition of a successful event, same place and time as in other years. Great wine, refreshments, and atmosphere. You can register below—and don’t delay, capacity is limited and there are already many of us.

In ancient times people enjoyed new wine, because for centuries winemakers did not know how to make wine that wouldn’t spoil. Beaujolais Nouveau is made the same way as all wines born in Beaujolais, but faster. This is so it retains freshness and youthful playfulness, a hint of fruity aroma, and quick fermentation. From the 19th century, winemakers from Beaujolais delivered young wine to Lyon, where it became so popular that it began to be nicknamed the “third Lyon river,” and soon Parisians took to it as well.
By law, young Beaujolais may be opened/consumed only from midnight on the 3rd Thursday in November. Originally it was fixed on November 15, but because the date often fell on a weekend, which wasn’t practical from a sales perspective, it switched to the principle of a “rolling” Thursday.

ATTENTION: Registration for the event is required in advance

Regular members have one ticket included in the membership and can use a second for a non-member of the club, their guest, purchasing it at the member price. Basic members can buy a ticket at the club price for themselves and their guest. A ticket can be ordered only after logging into the club website.
