The Venture Club investment club invites you to a lecture by Lukáš Sedláček on the future of technology

Prague, September 29, 2025 – Venture Club, an investment and social club of investors, cordially invites all interested parties to a lecture by PhDr. Lukáš Sedláček, M. Phil., a historian, political scientist, visionary, and founder and program director of Týdne inovací ČR, the largest Czech event dedicated to artificial intelligence and innovation. It will take place on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 18:00 to 21:00 at Park Atrium at 2N, at the address Pod Vinicí 2028/20, Prague 12. The evening’s topic will be The Future of Technology and Human Potential.

Lukáš Sedláček, a graduate of the University of Cambridge, has long been engaged with artificial intelligence, the ethics of technology, and the future of education. In his lecture he will focus on how new technologies can enhance but also endanger human potential, and how to address these challenges in practice. Participants can look forward to inspiring insights and practical examples from the fields of innovation, leadership, and education.

Around the same time his new book Nazí v době AI is also being released—a long-prepared project on which the author worked for several years. The book is not only an analysis of technological development but also a deep personal journey into the question of what the era of artificial intelligence will do to us. It connects technology with philosophy, psychology, anthropology, and even art—the individual chapters are accompanied by the author’s sculptures.

In the book, Lukáš Sedláček asks questions that many hesitate to voice:

  • What will happen to humans once AI surpasses our abilities in almost every cognitive task?
  • How will our identity and the meaning of life change when we lose the feeling of uniqueness?
  • What role do faith, myths, and the legacy of Western thought play in this?

Nazí v době AI is an intellectually provocative and visually compelling work that speaks to the mind, body, and soul. Critics describe it as “a deeply human and unsettling journey” and “a book about what AI takes from us, what it gives back, and how to remain human in the process.”

Entry to the event is free for full Venture Club members; for basic members and the public, admission is available for a modest fee upon advance registration here. Payment by card, bank transfer, or cash on site is possible.
