Prague, November 22, 2024 – Venture Club, an investment and social club of investors, has completed another investment, this time in the field of renewable energy sources. Club members have invested 12.5 million crowns in the biogas plant project in Velké Meziříčí, which focuses on optimizing current electricity production and future transition to biomethane production – a cleaner and more economically advantageous option.
The biogas plant, which in its current form produces 660 MWh of electricity monthly from organic waste, has the potential, thanks to the planned modifications, to contribute to the development of biomethane production in the Czech Republic. This gas, cleaned and injected directly into the grid, represents a significant step towards a cleaner energy mix in the Czech Republic. Additionally, the integration of functions for stabilizing the electric grid is being considered. This makes the plant a unique investment opportunity, contributing to energy independence and higher stability of energy infrastructure.
“The project includes, among other things, ecological technologies for processing organic waste, including equipment that allows for the ecological disposal of expired packaged foods. Through this innovation, the plant contributes to sustainable waste management. It is therefore another environmentally responsible project in the portfolio of Venture Club, for which we are truly pleased,” says Petr Šedivý, CEO of Venture Club Invest s.r.o. and chairman of the board of Venture Club z.s.
The investment focuses on a three-year period, during which Venture Club plans to optimize, stabilize, and prepare the project for sale. This planned exit is expected to bring multiple returns on the invested funds. The final investment at this moment amounts to 12.5 million crowns.
