Beaujolais nouveau was a great day… firstly it was 17.11.2016, a national holiday and the National Avenue was crowded, around 5 pm you could hear a group of 100 animals, and secondly it was the opening of the consumption of young wine from France. It was the third Thursday in November and that is the first day when young wine from Beajolais can be consumed.
The Venture Club hosted a meeting for its members and guests a short walk from the National and its headquarters at the Palais Konvikt, at the Cafe Baret n°1 meeting. The Beaujolais was absolutely delicious, with a lovely dark colour, raspberry aroma and very drinkable. And when we think of French cheeses and homemade strudel with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream… we’d have it again in a heartbeat, believe me. The company was more modest in number, but maybe that’s why we got along better – we had a lovely chat. We met a doctor, a lawyer, a commercial bank analyst, an economist, a rentier, a director,… I’m sorry if I’ve forgotten anyone, existing or new investors…
