Architecture for longevity and well-being

or

What else is being built around the world
Architecture, quality of life and new directions in development

We have prepared an unconventional evening in the pleasant setting of Art-n-Coffee, Prague 1: The phenomenon of Blue Zones, popularized by Dan Buettner, is no longer limited to longevity research. It is gradually being transformed into concrete projects and initiatives around the world — and is beginning to appear in the Czech Republic as well. Let’s take a look at what lies behind it. This direction may create new opportunities for development and investment.

In 2023, the documentary Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones was released (you can still watch it on Netflix). It shows how the environment affects the length and quality of life. Based on it and broader research, places are beginning to emerge that consciously seek to bring the principles of longevity into real-world environments. Around the world, this approach is moving from inspiration to implementation.

Projects are emerging that directly incorporate these principles into the design of cities and housing — for example, Kampung Admiralty in Singapore, an integrated complex connecting housing, community life and healthcare in a single space. Similar initiatives are also emerging in the USA, for example in Albert Lea, where longevity principles are being incorporated into the functioning of the entire city.

In the Czech Republic, the first initiatives are beginning to address this phenomenon. For example, in April 2026 E15 published an analysis of so-called “longevity zones” within the Czech Republic. In addition, concrete projects are emerging — for example, Třebíč, which has declared its ambition to become the first “Blue Zone” in the Czech Republic.

At the meeting, we will briefly introduce the topic and open a joint discussion:

👉 Which of these directions are truly relevant to our environment?
👉 Does it make sense to incorporate these principles into specific development projects?
👉 And could this also create new opportunities for Venture Club?

The evening was prepared by and will be hosted by Yasmin Milena Žitníková. The event was created in cooperation with the clubs Podnikám Česky and Venture Club.

Members of both clubs receive a reduced admission fee of CZK 300 for themselves and their guests; non-members and guests pay the full admission fee of CZK 500.  Admission includes the programme, venue and a welcome toast; additional refreshments can be purchased at the café. After the official part of the programme, you can continue informally.

Please reserve and pay the admission fee in advance; capacity is limited. Thank you.
