Beaujolais Nouveau 2022

This year we are organizing the seventh year of the successful event, the same place and time – as other years – only a week later. Great wine, refreshments and atmosphere. Registration is possible below. We recommend you do not delay registration, the number of places is limited.

In the old days, people liked to enjoy new wine, because for centuries winemakers did not know how to make wine so that it would not spoil. Beaujolais Nouveau is made in the same way as all wines born in Beaujolais, but faster. This is so that it retains its freshness and youthful exuberance, a hint of fruity aromas and rapid fermentation. From the 19th century onwards, Beaujolais winemakers shipped the young wine to Lyon, where it became so popular that it was nicknamed ‘the third river of Lyon’, and soon became popular with Parisians too.
Young Beaujolais is only legally allowed to be opened/consumed from midnight on the 3rd Thursday in November. Originally this was fixed for 15 November, but as the date often fell on a weekend, which was not practical from a sales point of view, the principle of a ‘sliding’ Thursday was adopted.

Registration for the event is required in advance and available by signing in – this time only to club members and their guests. Regular members have one second ticket they can buy, for non-members their guest can buy at a discounted price. Regular members have one paid seat at a discounted price, and another for non-members at full price. In the event of a shortage of seats, club members and guests of regular members have priority over non-members and guests of basic members. Seating is limited, don’t leave registration to the last minute. Payment in advance based on invoice after event registration, by wire transfer.

Pre-registrations are closed – the event is at capacity. To sign up now as an alternate, email petr.sedivy@ventureclub.cz. There’s a pretty good chance it will work out. Usually someone cancels before the event.
