A walk around Vinohrady Drama with Mark Toman
This summer’s walk will reveal Vinohrady as you may not know it. Once again, we have asked for the guidance of the proven Mr. Mark Toman, a writer and otherwise diplomat, an employee of the State Department, who has accompanied us twice already. We will take a literary walk through Vinohrady dramatic – following the traces of the events of May 1945, August 1968, August 1969…
We will meet at the ramp of the National Museum (it is at the top of Wenceslas Square – note, really the museum, not the National Theatre, Mr Toman points out).
The walk traditionally ends with a joint visit to the garden café – where an informal treat awaits us. We will be at Grébovec again, this time in the café.
Those who were with us last year on the Pohořelec walk in 2019, or at Vinohrady 2020, will confirm that Marek Toman is not only an erudite expert, but also an entertaining companion. And you will be surprised how many stories are hidden in the houses we pass by every day.
The date is confirmed for 10.8.
You are cordially invited! Don’t forget to book your place! We are limited to capacity and must order refreshments in advance. Tickets below, reservations as usual.
Greetings
Radim Horák and Petr Šedivý
